• Defined the enterprise agent control plane, the layer that registers, orchestrates, governs, and observes AI agents. The strategy targeted the three reasons agent pilots fail to reach production, namely evaluation gaps, governance friction, and reliability.
• Set architecture direction for multi-agent orchestration and interoperability, including MCP-based tool integration, agent-to-agent (A2A) communication, agent registry and lifecycle management, and orchestration patterns designed for reuse across product teams.
• Established agent evaluation frameworks (offline eval sets, online quality metrics) and tiered autonomy governance (trust boundaries, guardrails, human-in-the-loop approval gates) so agents earn expanded autonomy through demonstrated reliability.
• Drove agentic infrastructure automation, with AI agents that plan, validate, and safely execute Terraform and other core workflows across the HashiCorp Cloud Platform portfolio, applying a decade of change-risk and reliability discipline to agent-driven change in production systems.
• Owned the shared context layer, a unified, governed context architecture (context engineering) that grounds agents and AI workflows in consistent organizational knowledge, the foundation for agent accuracy and safe tool use at scale.
• Refocused delivery from 12 engineering teams to 2 surgically focused teams to concentrate investment on the highest-leverage platform capabilities and restore execution velocity.
